Heal the World Through Prayer

Unity World Day of PrayerThursday, September 11, 2008

The second Thursday in September is Unity’s World Day of Prayer. It’s a day filled with the energy of prayer, and as our friends around the world join us in prayer on that day, the energy intensifies: It will be a day of transformation.

We invite you to join us on September 11 for this sacred experience. In keeping with this year’s theme “Celebrating Oneness, Healing the World,” we invite you to affirm with us:
Rejoicing in our oneness with God and one another,we celebrate healing in every aspect of our livesand in the world.

Wherever you are on that day, you can repeat this affirmation and join us in holding an image of our world enfolded in love and peace.

Join us in prayer

You are invited to go to My Prayer List and list the names of those you would like remembered on World Day of Prayer. We will prayerfully acknowledge each name during our monthlong vigil in the Silent Unity Chapel beginning September 11. We will hold these names in prayer, day and night, for thirty days. Your prayers, united with ours, will touch millions of lives.

Praying together – centered in God – we open our minds and hearts to the unconditional love of God that heals, inspires, guides and strengthens.
