I took the American Accent Quiz on facebook. Linguistics fascinates me! It was very accurate. It says:

Your accent is specific to New York State, the Great Lakes Area, and Western New England.

Well, I lived around New York, Chicago and Washington DC growing up. Most of the years I was learning to talk [2 to 6] Dad was attending Harvard Law School in western New England.
