Musica Dolce

From Niko
"... This ... is a particularly beautiful track of the latest Ranieri CD, "Oggi e Dimane" in which he re-worked Neapolitan stuff with North African singers and musicians. I usually don't like this kind of fusion stuff, but this really works -- instead of the forced, contrived eclecticism, which this kind of combo usually sounds like, this actually seems to bring out the latent Greco-Arabo-Mediterraneanness of the Neapolitan/meridionale sensibility."

It reminds me (Nancy) of the background music to Troy, performed by Tanja Tzarovska amd a female chorus.
