January 15, 2910 Lunar Elipse Interpreted

Today’s Lunar Eclipse takes place with the New Moon in Capricorn conjunct Pluto, pretty dark energy. It was anticipated, as eclipses usually are, by the tragic earthquake in Haiti and talk about Haiti’s “pact with the Devil”, a right wing religious myth that has perpetuated since Haiti’s emancipation from the French and relative to its condition compared to the neighboring Dominican Republic.

It need not necessarily mean 6 months of dark events. Here are some positive interpretations of ways to use this energy. The influence of an eclipse lasts until the next one. They are about 6 months apart. The word is “influence”. Though scary to witness, lending themselves to medieval reaction, eclipses are more like more stock to a soup bases.

Aries: transform your relationship with your father and the establishment, possible through legal matters

Taurus: transform your ability to give to others possibly through being forced

Gemini: transform your ability to relate to the simple truth of a matter possibly through something that it is written to you

Cancer: transform your ability to take care of yourself possibly through the failure of others to carry through on their end of the bargain

Leo: transform your ability to focus on day-to-day mundane matters perhaps through the efforts of someone who’s tired of all the melodrama

Virgo: get a promotion or recognition about your work, possibly through the truth coming to light how much you do and others don’t

Libra: transform your life by changes to your home, possibly a move, a new relationship or Feng Shui

Scorpio: transform your life by speaking up for yourself using a well reasoned argument

Sagittarius: transform your financial situation – something you’d completely forgotten about (lucky you!)

Capricorn: slowly begin the long series of changes that await you in the years ahead

Aquarius: transformation through visitations from the past

Pisces: the beginning of a very spiritual year with renewed vision and spirituality

Louis Armstrong shows near perfect use of Aries, Leo and Capricorn. My friend Niko and I have ongoing disussions as to the positive and negatve uses of these signs.

His Moon and Ascendant are in Aries. His Sun is in Leo. He has Jupitet and Saturn in Capriorn.

With his winning, youthful, honest and courageous personality, not to mention his incredible generosity and popularity, Louis Armstrong shows the best qualities of these three signs.

At his first Saturn Return, Armstrong started having trouble with his lips and fingers because of the uniqiue way he played. He was forced to branch out into singing and practically "invented" the art of jazz singing single handedly.

An example of his Leo loyalty is that he was given music lessons by a Jewish family while living in a probationary home as a kid. Ever after that he wore a Star of David to thank them.

Also at his first Saturn Return, when he was 28 he recorded "Ain't Misbehavin' ", his biggest selling record to date.

Armstrong was extremely generous, giving way almost as much as he made (Leo Moon) and supported Dr. Martin Luther King and other civil rights workers.

Wth Venus in Virgo he was a laxative enthusiast.

Spreading success over a lifetime is a good use of Jupiter and Saturn in Capricorn.

From a Concerned Cap Reader

Question in regard to Niko's article ..........Who in his/her right mind would not be interested in the economy?

Statement: By a lowly subject, I don't know if the planets are rolling in a direction that would enable Obama to make some inroads into the workings of his party, but if he were, my suggestion would be to get Barney Frank to step down from his long time position as the head of the Senate Financial committee. That's just for starters! The party needs to take a good look at the idea that letting people that aren't making enough money to repay a loan, have that loan. Now that is the kind of regulation I think Niko is talking about when he said: "We just have to come down to earth and do a few years basic housekeeping.”

It's so simple, but oh so hard for them to understand that we all can't have every thing we see. If a person wants something then he/she needs to count the change in his pocket first and when the bank is willing to give out a loan they need to do the common sense thing if they wish to stay in business........do a credit check which includes counting the earning capacity of, the bread winner.

I grant you , this is coming from a Capricorn, but that isn't Astrology I think it's strategy, sort of sounds close, but close doesn't count now, does it? Why is it that we all wish we could sit in the cat bird seat for just a day?

The Mystery of Crowds

This is the kind of thing you see revealed behind the scenes when you analyze all the charts of the people at work or in your class or family.

I just reviewed the last 250 charts I did for astrology readings. I was looking to see where Pluto was entering Capricorn in their chart. I discovered that in all but THREE charts they had no planets in Capricorn whatsoever. That means that out of 250 people who consulted me recently, 247 of them had no Capricorn planets. What are the statstical odds of that? And more important for a metaphysician, what might it "mean"?

Why am I attracting people like that? Are they honing in on my Mighty Capricorn South Node, wanting that particular kind of balance for what is missing in their charts or is it just that people with Capricorn planets and energy avoid the inventive arts because it is more worldly knowledge they are in need of to further their careers and success? Then the no-Capricorn folks might be seeking my wordly knowledge.

At any rate I find it quite intriguing.

Evil Twins in Astrology

Learning about Leo and Capricorn

In astrology this ROLE is straight Leo laced with Capricorn. Always, always "on". It has nothing to do with modern times. The king and queen have always been figureheads and icons for the collective. They are not supposed to stand out as individuals but as personifications.

4th and 10th House = Cancer and Capricorn

It sems to me that people with lots of 4th and 10th house influences (Nodes in Cancer and Capricorn; one of those signs on the Midheaven and IC; lots of planets or Saturn in one of those houses) ... it seems to me that these people are working out gender issues at a very, very deep level.

Cancer and Capricorn are opposite signs that make up one polarity. They have to do with home/career, deep self/outer world, mother/father, emotional/financial security.

People with 4th and 10th house influence s often wind up being both mother and father either to their siblings, to their own parents or to their children (single parent families).

K was over here for a BBQ last month. He is about my age and raised three children all on his own, his wife having fled the scene early on. My friends say "K is one big breast". Now he is trying to raise grandchildren as well. He has made untold sacrifices to nurture his children, not getting as far in his career as he might. He is also very controlling as parental people (Cancer / Capricorn, 4th / 10th house) are. It's cardinal energy, after all.

R has Saturn in Capricorn in the 4th house and has been head of her household since she was 17. She does an exceptional job of balancing both home and career fully, playing both parts very well mother and father, and succeeding well at both. Her child is out of the next now and she is concentrating on her career and financial security.

C comes from a wealthy family. She has her Nodes in the 4th and 10th house in Cancer and Capricorn. She has raised her child all on her own , works full time for her parents, upon which they insist, and is also working on a PhD. She is a very hands-on mother. She also remains a very active and present daughter to her parents socially who require her apperance at all formal and family functions.

This energy is especially important with Pluto entering Capricorn. The poster kids for this energy are Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt. Suddenly families are important again in Hollywood, for the first time I can remember since Bing Crosby. Formerly it was more like when things broke down and they wound up smeared across the tabloids like poor Marlon Brando.

Stars are more often than not shown with their kids in tow now. We have Suri and Shiloh and Violet. (Do you have a secret favorite?) Not to mention Maddox, Pax and Sahara. And now Knox and Vivienne. Suddenly it is fashionable and Brad Pitt led the way. He went looking for a family. Both Angelina and Brad have strong Cancer and Capriciorn influences in their charts.

Angelina Jolie and Mia Farrow both have Saturn in Cancer and a deep need to take kids in!
