I am pleased to see you used a tool other than your hands to remove the offending object!
I was on a ten ft. ladder all day painting palm trees and a beach scene for the elementary school (my gift) in the foyer. I used gold paint for the highlights and the ocean is across the street so the sun plays with the paint. I'll email a pic when completed.
